VICTORIA CROSS MEMORIAL CARNOUSTIE
The Royal British Legion In Scotland approached Carnoustie Golf Links, with a request to display the Victoria Cross memoriials for C.A.Jarvis and G.M.Sampson. Both Carnoustie men awarded this distinction in the Great War.
W.L Watson and Sons of St Andrew's undertook the work, erecting the large 'Standing Stone' mounting the memorial plaques and laying the adjacent pavement.
Landscaping Works
Dundee based 'Land and Building' carried out the wider project of improving vehicular and pedestrian access to the centre, including improved lighting.
These works are part of the ongoing enhacement of the Courses and Facilities at Carnoustie, to accommodate International Tournaments; and visiting and local golfers alike.
